Bring the images and videos a Meta ad account has already run into your creative library, once and then automatically.

If you have been advertising on Meta for a while, the account already holds every image and video you have run. **Import from Meta** brings them into your Adsap creative library so you can reuse them without hunting for the original files.

Find it in **Creative Hub, then Creative Library**, as the **Import from Meta** action.

> **Plans:** creative library imports are an **Early Access** feature. The Free plan uploads creatives manually. See [Pricing](/pricing).

## What it does

It walks the ad account's image and video library and copies what it finds into your creative library. It works in pages, so a large history does not have to finish in one go. You can leave the page and come back.

After the first import, it keeps up on its own: a daily check picks up new creatives that appear in the account. **Check for new assets now** runs it immediately if you do not want to wait.

Nothing imports twice. Adsap recognizes existing creatives and skips them, so running the import again is safe.

## Finding imported creatives afterwards

The library's **All Sources** filter separates **Uploaded**, meaning you put it there, from **Imported from Meta**, meaning it came from the account's history.

Imported creatives behave like any other. You can tag them, group them, preview them, and load them into an [ad sheet](/guides/ad-sheets/overview).

## What comes across and what does not

**Comes across:** the image or video itself, at full resolution, and enough detail to preview it.

**Does not come across:** the copy, the headline, the link or the targeting of the ad that used it. This imports creatives, not ads. To rebuild an old ad, the creative is here and the wording is not.

## Why bother

Two reasons come up again and again:

**The original files no longer exist.** An agency changed, a laptop died, someone tidied a Drive folder. The ad account is the one place the files still exist.

**You want to re-run a winner.** A creative that worked eighteen months ago often works again. Finding it in the library is faster than finding it in Ads Manager, and the only option if you no longer have the file.

## Through the AI Copilot

You can start an import and check its progress by chat. Ask for the import status and you get the phase and the counts of imported, skipped and failed creatives.
