# Extensions

Create sitelinks, callouts, snippets, calls, promotions and price tables once, then link them to campaigns or to the whole Google Ads account.

**Ad Launcher, then Extensions** manages the extra pieces Google can show alongside your ads. Google calls them assets. The page appears only when you have a Google Ads account selected.

> **Plans:** extensions are an **Early Access** feature. See [Pricing](/pricing).

The model is create once, link many times. An extension is a thing in your account. Linking it to a campaign is a separate step, and you can link the same extension to as many campaigns as you like, or to the whole account at once.

Account level means it applies everywhere unless a campaign has its own. Campaign level overrides it for that campaign.

## The six types

### Sitelinks

Extra links under your ad, each with its own text and destination. The usual reason a search ad takes up more of the page than a competitor's.

### Callouts

Short phrases that are not clickable. Free delivery, 24 hour support, that kind of thing. They add credibility without adding a destination to maintain.

### Structured snippets

A header plus a list of values. The header comes from a fixed set Google publishes, for example Brands, Models, Destinations, and the values are yours.

The header has to match the values. Google disapproves a Brands header with product types under it.

### Calls

A phone number shown with the ad. Check that whoever answers it knows the ads are running.

### Promotions

A discount tied to an occasion, with a discount type. The occasion list is Google's. Picking one that does not match the calendar is a common reason a promotion does not show.

### Prices

A price table with types, qualifiers and units, for example from, per month.

## Practical notes

- Extensions do not always show. Google chooses per auction, so a correctly configured extension that appears sometimes is normal.
- More extensions is better, up to a point. Google picks the combination it expects to work, and it needs options to pick from.
- Unlinking is not deleting. Unlinking removes an extension from a campaign but leaves it in the account, ready to link somewhere else.
- Editing an extension changes it everywhere you linked it. If you want a variant for one campaign, create a second one.

## Through the AI Copilot

You can create and link extensions by chat, and list what an account already has:

> "What extensions are on my Search campaign?"

The assistant confirms the exact change before writing anything.
