# Review & Launch

The last step before ads reach Meta, what gets validated, and how to read the result when some ads fail.

**Review Ads** in the ad sheet header opens **Review & Launch Ads**, described on the dialog as reviewing your ads before launching them to Meta.

This is the only thing in Adsap that sends ads to Meta.

## What happens first

Adsap checks every row before it sends anything. Rows with a problem show what is wrong, and rows that pass show as ready.

Only rows in **Draft** launch. Adsap skips a row already at **Launched**, so reopening the dialog after a partial launch does not create duplicates.

If nothing is launchable you get **No valid ads to launch** rather than an empty run.

## Common reasons a row is not ready

- No campaign or ad set on the row, shown as **No Campaign**.
- A missing creative, primary text, headline or destination URL.
- A carousel card missing a headline.
- A Collection or Catalog row with no product set, or in a campaign with no catalog bound. See [Creating a campaign](/guides/launch/campaign-settings).

## Launching

Adsap sends ads one at a time rather than in one batch. That is slower on purpose: it keeps Adsap inside Meta's rate limits, and one bad ad fails on its own instead of taking the run down.

Each ad reports its own result. At the end you get either **Launch Complete** or **Launch Completed with Errors**, with a **Failed Ads** list carrying Meta's own reason for each.

**Read the failure reasons rather than relaunching.** They are Meta's words, and they tend to name the exact field. Relaunching an unchanged row produces the same rejection.

Successful rows move to **Launched** and keep the ad's identifier, so you can find it later.

## Ads are created paused by default

New ads follow your account's **Default Ad Launch Status**, which defaults to **Paused**. See [Launch Settings](/guides/account-defaults/launch-settings).

Paused means Meta has the ad, it has gone into review, and it will not spend until you activate it. Activating from the [performance dashboard](/guides/insights/performance-dashboard) takes one click.

## After launching

**Check the preview before activating.** The dashboard's **Live preview** on an ad row shows Meta's own render, including video. That is the only way to be sure the ad you built is the ad Meta made.

Then watch review status. A new ad goes through Meta's review, and you will not see a rejection unless you look. The [alerts](/guides/recommendations/alerts) catch the case where a switched-on ad gets no delivery, which in most cases means a rejection.

## A note on test ads

If you are launching test ads, the only safe word to put in them is "test". Meta's automated review flags words that resemble restricted products even in an obvious test, and rejections count against the account.

Delete test ads promptly afterwards, with one exception: you cannot delete an ad under appeal until the re-review completes, and an approved appeal clears the strike. Leave those alone.

## Through the AI Copilot

The assistant shows a preview of the full structure before creating anything, and on Claude the launch review renders as a card with its own confirm button. Creation and activation stay two separate steps there too.
