# Workspaces & Teams

How workspaces hold your accounts and settings, how to invite teammates, why a member sees fewer accounts than the owner, and where billing lives.

Everything in Adsap lives in a **workspace**: your ad accounts, ad sheets, templates, creative library, automation rules and settings. Invite teammates and everyone works from the same setup rather than each rebuilding it.

One workspace holds the accounts and everything built on them. The owner picks the accounts, every member connects their own login, and a member sees only the overlap.

## Roles

Two.

**Owner.** Controls billing, membership, which ad accounts belong to the workspace, and workspace settings. Every workspace has exactly one owner.

**Member.** Works with the workspace's ad accounts, sheets, templates, creatives and rules. Members can create and launch. What limits a member is which accounts they can reach, not their role. More on that below.

## Inviting a teammate

Inviting members is an **Early Access** feature. A Free workspace has its owner only. If a workspace with members later moves to Free, the existing members stay; only new invitations lock. See [Pricing](/pricing).

1. Go to **Settings, then Workspaces**, and open the **Members** tab. Owners only.
2. Enter their email address and send the invitation.
3. They get an email with an acceptance link.

**The invitation belongs to that exact email address.** They have to sign up or sign in with it. If you invite `sam@company.com` and Sam accepts from a personal Gmail, it fails. That is deliberate: it stops a forwarded invitation link letting the wrong person into your ad accounts.

The same tab lists pending invitations, who sent them and when they expire. Revoke one at any time before the invitee accepts.

## Why a member sees fewer accounts than the owner

This surprises people, so here is the precise rule.

Three things decide which ad accounts a member sees:

1. **The workspace's account universe.** The owner's own platform connection defines it. The accounts the owner's Meta or Google login can reach are the accounts the workspace can operate, and no more.
2. **What that member's own connection can reach.**
3. **Whether the owner has finished setting the account up.**

A member sees the **overlap** of all three. Not the workspace's full list, and not everything their own login can reach.

This is what makes an agency workspace safe in both directions. Adding a freelancer to a workspace holding six client accounts does not hand them six accounts: they see only the ones they already have access to on the platform. And a member connecting their own login does not add their accounts to the workspace. The owner's access is what sets the boundary.

If a member sees nothing at all, the overlap is empty. Either they have not connected their own Meta or Google account yet, or their access does not cover any of the workspace's accounts. The page explains which rather than showing a blank screen.

The list also keeps itself honest. When the owner reconnects, Adsap reconciles the universe against what their connection currently reaches, so an account they have lost access to stops appearing rather than lingering.

## Connections are personal

The workspace shares accounts, templates, sheets and creatives. It does **not** share platform logins.

Every member connects their own Meta or Google Ads account from **Settings**. Nobody borrows the owner's access. A banner tells you when you need to connect, or when a connection has expired.

That is why removing someone from a workspace is enough: their access traveled with their own login, so it leaves with them.

## Belonging to several workspaces

One person can belong to as many workspaces as invite them, the normal shape for an agency operator working across client workspaces.

Switch between them from the workspace switcher in the user menu. Each workspace keeps its own accounts, data, members and billing, and nothing crosses between them.

## Billing

The **Billing** tab in **Settings, then Workspaces** is owner only.

It shows your plan (Free or Early Access) and subscription status, the upgrade button, and your invoices. It also has a button through to the Stripe customer portal for changing your payment method or canceling. When an Early Access subscription ends, the workspace moves to Free: Adsap deletes nothing, members stay, one ad account per platform stays active and Adsap parks the others. See [Pricing](/pricing).

Billing is per workspace. Belonging to three workspaces does not mean paying three times: you pay for the ones you own.

## Removing someone

Removing a member from the Members tab ends their access to the workspace immediately. Their own ad account access on Meta or Google does not change, because Adsap never held it.

Work they created (sheets, templates, creatives, rules) stays in the workspace. It belongs to the workspace, not to the person.
