Meta ads automation tools (2026): 13 compared
Thirteen tools that automate some part of Facebook and Instagram advertising, starting with the rules and AI features Meta already gives you for nothing. For each one: what runs on its own, whether you approve a change before it runs, whether anyone can see who changed what, the price, and where it falls short.
Adsap is our product. Facts about the other twelve come from their own pages as of October 14, 2026.
The thirteen tools at a glance
Price is the lowest paid tier on the tool's own pricing page. "Approval" is whether a change waits for you before it runs.

Four kinds of automation, and the question to ask each
"Facebook ads automation" covers four different jobs, and most tools do one or two of them. A rule engine watches metrics and acts when a condition is met. An AI media buyer decides what to change, on its own or with your approval. A bulk launcher removes the clicking from creating ads, and leaves the running to you. An assistant connector lets Claude or ChatGPT do any of the above on your instruction.
Whatever the kind, the same three questions decide whether a tool is safe on a real account: does a change wait for you before it runs, can you see afterwards who changed what, and can the tool switch spend on, or only off? The entries below answer the first two for every tool. On the third, only Meta's rules, Birch, Madgicx and Adstellar raise budgets or turn ads on without a person in the loop; Adsap's rules can only pause or alert.
Each tool in detail
1. Meta's automated rules and Advantage+
Built into Ads Manager
What Meta already gives you inside Ads Manager. Automated rules check campaigns, ad sets and ads on a schedule. They turn things on or off, adjust a budget or a manual bid, or only send a notification. Advantage+ is Meta's set of AI features that pick the audience, the placements, the budget split across ad sets and creative variations for you.
- Platforms
- Meta
- Surfaces
- Ads Manager on the web
- Price
- Included in Ads Manager. Meta's pages state no fee for either feature.
- What runs on its own
- A rule acts whenever its condition holds, as often as the schedule you set. One rule takes one of each condition, and an ad account holds up to 250 rules. Advantage+ campaign budget moves spend to the ad sets Meta rates best, with an optional floor and ceiling per ad set. You write every rule, and Meta's own page says to keep watching performance.
- Approval before a change
- None. A rule either acts or notifies; there is no approve-then-apply step.
- Who changed what
- A per-rule activity view in Ads Manager. Not a change log of manual edits.
- Best for
- Every Meta advertiser, as the baseline to measure any paid tool against
Where it falls short: Rules cannot run on ads about social issues, elections or politics, and cannot combine two of the same condition. No approval step and no Slack. Advantage+ decisions are Meta's, not yours.
2. Birch
Rule engine
A rule-based automation and reporting platform, formerly Revealbot. Rules run as often as every 15 minutes, with nested condition groups, metric-to-metric comparisons and custom metrics. Its Launcher builds many ad sets at once. Stage turns Google Drive folders or a Google Sheet into ads. An MCP connector lets Claude and ChatGPT read rules and logs.
- Platforms
- Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Snapchat
- Surfaces
- Web app, Slack alerts, an AI assistant that drafts rules, an MCP connector
- Price
- Essential $49 a month, or $45 a month billed annually. Pro $99 a month, or $91 billed annually. Both prices apply up to $10,000 of monthly ad spend across connected accounts. A slider on its page sets the price above that; we did not capture those tiers. Enterprise is custom. 14-day free trial, no card.
- What runs on its own
- Rules pause, start, raise or lower budgets and bids, duplicate and more. They run every 15 minutes to 72 hours or on a custom schedule, across up to five ad accounts in one currency. Post boosting turns organic posts into ads when they meet your conditions. You write or pick the rules; its AI assistant creates rules as drafts you publish.
- Approval before a change
- On creation only. Stage says nothing publishes on its own and you set ads live when ready. Running rules act without a confirmation step.
- Who changed what
- Rule logs per rule and an Activity page. The help center says you cannot export logs yet.
- Best for
- Teams that live in automated rules and want them deeper and more frequent than Meta's
Where it falls short: Automated rules, Launcher and custom metrics need the Pro tier, and the price rises with ad spend. No AI creative. The MCP connector cannot create rules or change budgets.
3. Madgicx
AI media buyer
An AI ads manager for Meta. It adds a daily recommendation agent and pre-built automation tactics (Stop Loss, Surf, Sunsetting, Revive) to a Meta ad account. It also brings a bulk-editing Ads Manager 2.0, an ad launcher and AI creative generation. Google Ads and TikTok appear only in its reporting.
- Platforms
- Meta for management; Google Ads, TikTok, GA4, Shopify and Klaviyo for reporting
- Surfaces
- Web app, shareable report links
- Price
- Its pricing page shows $45 a month at the default spend tier, $38 billed quarterly or $32 billed annually, and says the app shows the price for your tier. Its academy page says plans start from $99 a month and rise with monthly Meta ad spend. Extra ad accounts cost $9 a month each. The 7-day free trial converts to a paid plan unless you cancel.
- What runs on its own
- Tactics act on their own once launched. They pause the day's underperformers, raise budgets on winners up to a cap, wind a budget down over days, or turn recovered ads back on. The AI Marketer audits daily and proposes changes you apply in one click. You cannot control budget at ad level, and the launcher only adds ads to existing ad sets.
- Approval before a change
- Partial. You review recommendations and AI bidding changes before you apply them; launched tactics run without a check.
- Who changed what
- Yes. A latest-actions column shows what changed and who did it, including Meta's and Madgicx's own actions, plus an automation overview.
- Best for
- E-commerce accounts spending a few thousand a month that want autopilot tactics with change tracking
Where it falls short: Meta only for management. Tier prices sit inside the app, and the plan upgrades itself when spend crosses a tier. The launcher cannot create ad sets. No API, Slack or MCP on its pages.
4. AdEspresso
Rule engine
A campaign builder and optimizer for Facebook and Instagram. Its split-test grid creates every variation from the elements you supply. Rules optimize by cost per action, and a client can approve a campaign by link before it publishes.
- Platforms
- Meta
- Surfaces
- Web app; reports by web, PDF, email and Excel; API on Enterprise
- Price
- Starter $49 a month, with a $1,000 a month ad spend limit. Plus $99 a month. Enterprise from $259 a month. All in USD, each with a 14-day free trial. No annual prices published.
- What runs on its own
- Automatic optimization pauses under-performing ads inside a campaign and moves budget to the best ones by cost per action, with a frequency cap. Custom performance triggers run your own rules. Campaign creation, the rules themselves and budget redistribution after a manual change stay with you.
- Approval before a change
- Yes, for publishing. A campaign can wait for a client's approval by link, mandatory on Enterprise. No approval step for optimization rules.
- Who changed what
- Yes. A per-campaign timeline shows every change, who made it and which rule applied it.
- Best for
- Small advertisers and agencies that want a split-test grid plus a client sign-off before launch
Where it falls short: Meta only, no AI creative and no AI agent. The $49 tier stops at $1,000 a month of spend, and bulk creation across Pages needs the $99 tier.
5. AdAmigo.ai
AI media buyer
An AI media buyer for Meta and Google Ads. It prepares optimization recommendations each morning, takes instructions in chat, generates creatives and watches accounts for anomalies. Its bulk launcher sends single image and video ads into one or many ad sets.
- Platforms
- Meta and Google Ads; TikTok announced for later in 2026
- Surfaces
- Web app with a chat agent, email alerts
- Price
- $349 a month per ad account for full use. $99 a month per ad account for accounts spending under $2,000 a month, with 2 recommendations and 15 chat prompts a day. Bulk Ad Launch alone is $99 a month per ad account. 7-day free trial. No annual prices on its pricing page.
- What runs on its own
- Two modes. In review first, recommendations wait for your approval each morning. In auto-apply, changes go in overnight and a fresh set appears the next day. Anomaly detection runs around the clock. The chat agent only does what you ask.
- Approval before a change
- Yes, optional. Review first by default; auto-apply when you switch it on.
- Who changed what
- Partial. Its pages say auto-apply logs every action and that changes appear in the platform's own history. We found no audit log screen or export.
- Best for
- A brand with one or two accounts that wants a daily AI review with an approve-or-autopilot switch
Where it falls short: Priced per ad account, and the $99 tier limits recommendations and prompts per day. Bulk launch covers single image and video only. No assistant connector.
6. Ryze AI
AI media buyer
A multi-product AI marketing platform. Its paid ads agent checks connected accounts through the day and files proposed changes to an inbox with a before-and-after table. On approval it applies them, and it generates creatives. Meta is one channel next to Google, Microsoft, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Platforms
- Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn and more
- Surfaces
- Web app, Claude and ChatGPT connector, Slack and email notifications
- Price
- Paid Ads $89 a month and Agency $279 a month, billed monthly, each with a 7-day free trial. Annual billing takes 30% off the first year. Agent actions and creatives draw down credits on top. Managed campaigns cost a share of the ad spend they manage.
- What runs on its own
- The agent researches on its own and proposes fixes. Your tool approvals setting decides what it applies without you, from every action to only changes and deletions. Managed campaigns build and run a campaign of their own under your budget and goal.
- Approval before a change
- Yes. Each proposal shows the exact change. You approve it, approve it with a note, or reject it, and you set the level.
- Who changed what
- Partial. Applied and failed cards keep an agent note and a trace of the run. We found no single account-wide change log.
- Best for
- Teams on more than one ad platform that want proposals in an inbox and the same agent inside Claude or ChatGPT
Where it falls short: No bulk launcher, and credits on top of the subscription. Meta is one channel among many. Its pages mix autopilot wording with approval on every change.
7. Make, Facebook Ads Campaign Management app
General automation platform
A general visual automation platform, not an ads tool. Its Facebook Ads Campaign Management app has twelve modules: watch, list and update campaigns, ad sets and ads, a reach estimate, interest search and location search. You wire them into scenarios with other apps yourself.
- Platforms
- Meta through this app; other ad platforms through separate apps
- Surfaces
- Scenario builder on the web, a conversational builder, an MCP server, an API from the Core tier
- Price
- Free with 1,000 credits a month and two active scenarios. Core $9, Pro $16 and Teams $29 a month at 10,000 credits a month. Enterprise custom. One module action is one credit.
- What runs on its own
- Whatever you build. A scenario can watch for new ad sets and update a budget or a status on a schedule or a trigger. Make adds no ads logic, no optimization rules and no AI media buying. Every scenario is yours to design and maintain.
- Approval before a change
- Not found on its pages.
- Who changed what
- Execution logs on every plan; an audit log of user actions on Enterprise only. Nothing ad-specific.
- Best for
- A technical user who already runs Make and wants Meta budget or status changes wired to other systems
Where it falls short: No module creates a campaign, an ad set or an ad, and this app has no insights module. No approval flow. Every workflow is yours to maintain.
8. Rapid Ads
Bulk launcher
A one-click bulk Meta creative launcher. Drag in a folder of creatives or import from Dropbox. It groups them into ad sets, applies naming and UTM rules, keeps Advantage+ enhancements off, and launches. A plain-English setup helper fills grouping, budgets and targeting from a description.
- Platforms
- Meta
- Surfaces
- Web app
- Price
- Starter is free for the first 10 uploads, no card. Rapid Launch costs $39 a month or $389 a year, with unlimited uploads and ad accounts. A Rapid Lite tier at $19 a month for 50 uploads appears in its llms.txt file but not in its pricing section. Team seats cost $29 a month each.
- What runs on its own
- Launch only. It automates the creation step, not what happens after: no rules, no optimization.
- Approval before a change
- Not found on its pages.
- Who changed what
- Not found on its pages.
- Best for
- Getting a folder of creatives live on Meta fast
Where it falls short: Meta only and launch only. Carousels, collection and catalog ads still show as coming, and Google Drive import is waiting on approval.
9. Adstellar
AI media buyer
An AI media buyer for Meta. It generates images, video, avatars and UGC, builds campaigns with seven agents and then runs on autopilot: it pauses waste, scales winners and adjusts budgets within guardrails you set. A Slack agent and a draft mode arrived this autumn.
- Platforms
- Meta
- Surfaces
- Web app, in-app agent, Slack agent
- Price
- 7-day free trial with $100 in credits. Then $100 a month for 50,000 credits, and $2 per 1,000 credits beyond. An image costs 100 credits, an AI campaign launch 100, a 30-second video 8,400. Credits expire after 60 days.
- What runs on its own
- Autopilot by design: it analyses performance and acts within your guardrails. A draft mode lets you review a campaign before launch, and the credit cost shows before any paid action.
- Approval before a change
- Partial. Draft mode before launch; no per-change approval for optimization.
- Who changed what
- Not found on its pages.
- Best for
- Brands that want creatives generated and budgets managed for them
Where it falls short: Meta only, with credit metering on every AI action. Budgets move on autopilot. Its own pages disagree on whether annual plans exist.
10. AdManage.ai
Bulk launcher
A bulk launcher for many channels. It has a table-mode web app, a Google Sheets plugin, a REST API and an MCP server with 143 highlighted tools, and MCP connections start read-only. Its pages count its channels as 9+, 10, 12 or 14 depending on the page.
- Platforms
- Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, X, LinkedIn, AppLovin, Taboola, ChatGPT Ads, Mintegral
- Surfaces
- Web app, Google Sheets plugin, REST API; Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Perplexity, ClickUp
- Price
- No free plan. Essential £199.99 a month for one ad account on one platform, plus £99.99 per extra account. In-house £499.99 for five accounts. Agency £999.99 for ten. Enterprise custom. Money-back guarantees of 7 or 30 days instead of a trial.
- What runs on its own
- Monitoring and comment rules by tier: one rule on Essential, ten on In-house, unlimited on Agency. Launching is the core job; optimization is not.
- Approval before a change
- MCP connections start read-only until you enable writes. We found no preview step before a launch.
- Who changed what
- Enterprise only.
- Best for
- Agencies on six or more channels with an enterprise budget
Where it falls short: £199.99 buys one account on one platform. Audit logs are Enterprise only, and the channel count differs by page.
11. Adsap
Bulk launcher and AI copilot
Our product. An Ad Sheet web app launches a campaign, its ad sets and hundreds of ads from one spreadsheet-style editor. The same tools, about 100, run as an AI copilot in Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity. Every ad lands paused, every write shows a preview first, automated rules carry a spend floor, and every action lands in an audit log.
- Platforms
- Meta and Google Ads
- Surfaces
- Web app; Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity
- Price
- Free: $0, no card, one Meta and one Google Ads account, 10 tasks a month, 46 of the tools. Early Access: $29 a month plus tax with a 7-day free trial, every tool and no task limit.
- What runs on its own
- Automated rules (in beta) pause or alert on your conditions and never switch an ad on. A weekly digest and the recommendations page propose what to change. Launching, budgets and targeting stay yours, with a preview before every write.
- Approval before a change
- Yes. A preview before every write, and ads land paused until you switch them on.
- Who changed what
- Yes. Every action from the app or the copilot, on every plan.
- Best for
- Buyers who launch in bulk and want to see every change before it runs
Where it falls short: Two platforms only, no autopilot optimization, and no image or video generation.
12. Adspirer
AI assistant connector
A chat-only AI paid media manager with an MCP server for six ad platforms, used from ChatGPT, Claude, Slack or email. It builds campaigns paused, and high-impact changes wait for your approval. Its pages state 400+ tools in total and lower counts in the API reference.
- Platforms
- Google Ads, Meta, Amazon Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, ChatGPT Ads
- Surfaces
- ChatGPT, Claude (connector and plugin), Slack, email, REST API; no web app for bulk work
- Price
- Free: $0 with 15 tasks a month, no card. Plus $49, Pro $99 and Max $199 a month for 150, 600 and 3,000 tasks. Enterprise custom.
- What runs on its own
- Chat-driven. A hosted watcher can compare a metric against a target and pause an ad set on a rule; otherwise it acts on your briefs.
- Approval before a change
- Yes. New campaigns stay paused, and high-impact changes are yours to approve.
- Who changed what
- Not found on its pages.
- Best for
- Teams on Amazon, LinkedIn or TikTok who work from a chat client
Where it falls short: No spreadsheet or bulk UI, and its tool counts differ by page.
13. Meta's official Ads MCP
AI assistant connector
Meta's own MCP server, in open beta since April 29, 2026. It reports, creates and edits campaigns, ad sets and ads in natural language, manages catalogs and diagnoses signals from any MCP client. Since July 16, 2026, portfolio admins can set rules on what AI agents may do on an ad account.
- Platforms
- Meta
- Surfaces
- Any MCP client; a CLI
- Price
- Meta's page states no price.
- What runs on its own
- Only what the assistant does on your instruction. The rules let an admin govern an agent's reach, from budget changes to catalog updates.
- Approval before a change
- Portfolio-wide rules, not a per-action preview.
- Who changed what
- Not found on its page.
- Best for
- Reads and single edits on one Meta account from an assistant, at no stated cost
Where it falls short: No bulk UI, no Google Ads, no Drive or Dropbox pipeline. Rules are portfolio-wide, not per action.
Which tool for which situation
- You have never set up a rule
- Start with Meta's automated rules. A stop-loss rule on cost per result and a notification rule on frequency cover most of what a paid tool would do first, at no cost. Measure for a month before paying for anything.
- You want rules that run every 15 minutes with real logic
- Birch. Nested conditions, metric-to-metric comparisons and a log per rule. Budget for the Pro tier, which is where the rules live.
- You want an AI to decide, and you check its work
- AdAmigo.ai in review-first mode, or Ryze AI with approvals on every change. Both put a proposed change in front of you before it goes in. Madgicx and Adstellar lean further toward autopilot.
- You launch dozens of ads a week and the risk is in the launch
- A bulk launcher. Rapid Ads for a folder of creatives on Meta. Adsap for a sheet with a preview and paused ads, on Meta and Google. AdManage.ai for many channels on an agency budget.
- You work from Claude or ChatGPT
- Meta's official connector for reads and single edits. Adsap or Adspirer for writes with a preview or an approval step. Birch's connector reads rules and logs and cannot create them.
- You need a client to sign off before anything publishes
- AdEspresso's approval link, or Adsap's preview plus paused ads. Nothing else on this list has a launch gate aimed at a client.
How we checked
Every fact about another tool was read on October 14, 2026from that tool's own home page, pricing page, help center or llms.txt file, and for Meta from the Business Help Center and Meta's announcement page. Prices are quoted as the pages show them, in their currency. Where a tool's own pages disagree with each other, the entry says so. Nothing on this page comes from review sites or from other articles, and we did not test the tools on live accounts. A tool is "not found on its pages" when we looked and did not find it, which is not proof it does not exist. Adsap is our product; its entry uses the same fields as the others.

Frequently asked questions
It depends on who decides. If you want the tool to decide, Madgicx and Adstellar run tactics or budgets on autopilot, and AdAmigo.ai and Ryze AI propose changes you approve. If you want to keep deciding and remove the clicking, Birch for rules and Adsap for bulk launches with a preview. Meta's own Advantage+ is the free AI layer under every one of them.
For one account with a handful of guardrails, often yes: pause on cost per result, notify on frequency, raise a budget on a winner. They stop short in five cases. You need two of the same condition in one rule, logic across accounts, Slack, an approval step, or rules on ads about social issues, elections or politics, which Meta excludes.
Meta's rules and Advantage+ come with Ads Manager. Adsap: $0 with 10 tasks a month and 46 of the tools. Adspirer: $0 with 15 tasks a month. Rapid Ads: the first 10 uploads. Make: 1,000 credits a month. Meta's official connector states no price. Birch, Madgicx, AdEspresso, AdAmigo.ai, Ryze AI and Adstellar offer a 7- or 14-day trial. AdManage.ai has neither a free plan nor a trial.
Adsap shows a preview before every write and creates ads paused. Adspirer keeps new campaigns paused and asks before high-impact changes. Ryze AI files every proposal to an inbox. AdAmigo.ai waits for approval in review-first mode. AdEspresso gates publishing behind a client approval link. Birch gates launches from Stage but not running rules. Meta's rules, Madgicx tactics and Adstellar's autopilot act on their own.
Adsap keeps an audit log on every plan. Madgicx shows the latest actions on each asset and who took them. AdEspresso keeps a timeline per campaign. Birch keeps logs per rule. AdManage.ai keeps audit logs on Enterprise only. Make keeps execution logs, and an audit log on Enterprise. The others either rely on Meta's own activity history or do not describe one.
We kept to tools a media buyer can use today to automate some part of Facebook or Instagram advertising. That means Meta's own features, rule engines, AI media buyers, bulk launchers, assistant connectors, and one general automation platform that people search for next to them. Each one had public pages we could read on October 14, 2026. Adsap is our product. Every other fact comes from that tool's own site, with the check date on this page; nothing comes from reviews or other articles.
The cross-platform list, with Google's official server, is at best AI tools to automate Meta and Google Ads. Every comparison on this site is listed at adsap.ai/compare.
Meta ads in bulk, with a preview before every write
Adsap is the entry on this list we built. Start on the Free plan with no card, or take Early Access at $29/month plus tax for every tool.
