The Adsap skill for your AI assistant
A skill is a small instruction pack for an AI assistant, in the open Agent Skills format. The Adsap skill teaches Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity how to use Adsap's tools: which tool fits each job, in what order, and the safety rules that always apply.
It is a set of Markdown files, zipped for upload: a short SKILL.md with the rules that always apply, plus one reference file per job that the assistant opens only when that job comes up. It contains no code, no keys and no credentials. Access to your ad accounts comes from the Adsap connector, which you add separately.

Which file to install, per assistant
Two zips exist because Perplexity Computer expects a single SKILL.md at the root of the zip and rejects the folder layout that Claude and ChatGPT use. The text inside is the same. Connect the Adsap connector first, then install the skill. The full setup is in the AI Copilot setup guide.

- If you already have a skill named adsap-meta-ads, remove it first. That is the outdated predecessor of the current adsap-ads skill.
- Skills do not update themselves. When the version on this page changes, download the file again and upload it again.
- If your assistant answers without opening the skill, start your message with "Use the adsap-ads skill".
- The skill is optional. The connector works without it, but the skill makes your copilot more reliable on multi-step work.
What the skill contains
A SKILL.md of about 10 KB plus 10 reference files, about 62 KB in all, written for the assistant, not for you. It follows the Agent Skills standard: a short description the assistant reads to decide when the skill applies, the rules that always apply, then one reference file per job that the assistant opens only when that job comes up. These are its parts.
Session start
Resolve the ad account first, on Meta and on Google Ads, and read its currency and timezone from that response. Get Page, Instagram, pixel and Instant Form IDs from the asset list. Use only Adsap's tools, and reuse what is already in the conversation instead of fetching it again.
Safety rules
Everything the assistant creates stays paused until you say launch. It previews every write before it runs it. It paces itself against the server's limits, states the date window on every performance answer, and never invents a number or a landing page URL. Ad copy stays inside Meta's policies. Plan limits are relayed, never worked around.
A routing table
One row per job, with the asks that trigger it and the reference file to read. The assistant reads a reference in full before starting that job, so a performance question never loads the Google Ads campaign builder, and a launch never loads the catalog checks.
Eight job references
Performance check (with the metric vocabulary), launch something new (with a checklist and worked examples), optimize and fix what is running, audiences and targeting, tracking health, catalog and commerce, research and strategy, and Google Ads from reads to campaign creation.

Files and checksums
Version 3.0, updated October 20, 2026. Both zips carry the same text: the standard one as SKILL.md plus the reference files, the Perplexity one as a single SKILL.md. Compare the SHA-256 after download if your assistant or your company asks for it; skill.json lists the checksum of every file inside each zip.
