Agent Skills

The Adsap skill for your AI assistant

A skill is a small instruction pack for an AI assistant, in the open Agent Skills format. The Adsap skill teaches Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity how to use Adsap's tools: which tool fits each job, in what order, and the safety rules that always apply.

It is one Markdown file, SKILL.md, zipped for upload. It contains no code, no keys and no credentials. Access to your ad accounts comes from the Adsap connector, which you add separately.

Which file to install, per assistant

Two zips exist because Perplexity Computer expects SKILL.md at the root of the zip and rejects the folder layout that Claude and ChatGPT use. The skill inside is the same. Connect the Adsap connector first, then install the skill. The full setup is in the AI Copilot setup guide.

  • If you already have a skill named adsap-meta-ads, remove it first. That is the outdated predecessor of the current adsap-ads skill.
  • Skills do not update themselves. When the version on this page changes, download the file again and upload it again.
  • The skill is optional. The connector works without it, but the skill makes your copilot more reliable on multi-step work.

What SKILL.md contains

One file of about 49 KB, written for the assistant, not for you. It follows the Agent Skills standard: a short description the assistant reads to decide when the skill applies, then the instructions. These are its sections.

Session start

Resolve the ad account first and read its currency and timezone from that response. Get Page, Instagram and pixel IDs from the asset list. Use only Adsap's tools, and reuse what is already in the conversation instead of fetching it again.

Safety rules

Everything the assistant creates stays paused until you say launch. It previews every write before it runs it. It paces itself against the server's limits, states the date window on every performance answer, and never invents a number or a landing page URL. Ad copy stays inside Meta's policies. Plan limits are relayed, never worked around.

Eight jobs, each with its tool chain

Performance check, launch something new (with a checklist), optimize and fix what is running, and audiences and targeting. Then tracking health, catalog and commerce, research and strategy, and Google Ads from reads to campaign creation.

Metric vocabulary

When to ask for results and cost per result, custom conversions, outbound clicks, and Meta's ad rankings, and how to read each one.

Three worked examples

A weekly performance question, a campaign creation request, and boosting an Instagram post, each with the tool order and the shape of a good answer.

When to use the web app instead

Bulk ad creation in Ad Sheets, the performance dashboard, connecting accounts, team members and billing all live at app.adsap.ai.

Troubleshooting

What each error code means, from an expired Meta connection to a plan limit, and what the assistant should do next.

Questions about the skill

No. The Adsap connector works on its own. The skill makes multi-step work more reliable: it tells the assistant which tool fits each job and repeats the safety rules in every conversation.

The skill inside is the same. Claude and ChatGPT expect SKILL.md inside an adsap-ads folder. Perplexity Computer expects SKILL.md at the root of the zip and rejects the folder layout.

No. Access comes from the Adsap connector, which you add at https://mcp.adsap.ai/mcp and authorize once with your Adsap login. The skill is text only. It contains no keys, no credentials and no code.

The version and date on this page come from the file itself. Skills do not update themselves, so download the latest file and upload it again when the version changes. If your assistant then reports a missing tool, disconnect and reconnect the Adsap connector and start a new chat.

Yes. SKILL.md is plain Markdown, and you can read it on this page before you install it. You can add your own notes below it. Keep the tool names as they are, since they match the connector.

Yes. The skill and the connector cost nothing to install. The tools they reach follow your Adsap plan: Free has the basic toolset and 10 tasks a month, Early Access has every tool with no task limit.

Connect Adsap, then install the skill

Create a free Adsap account, connect a Meta or Google Ads account, add the connector in your assistant, and upload the skill. Everything the assistant creates starts paused.
