Ad Sheet (Adsap)

Updated

Definition

An Ad Sheet is Adsap's spreadsheet-style editor where each row is one ad, and one launch creates every Draft row on Meta at once.

How it works

An Ad Sheet is tied to one Meta ad account. Each row has 73 columns, grouped in the Ad Sheets overview. The groups are identity and status, the campaign and ad set the row points at, copy, creatives, format-specific fields and launch tracking. Copy holds up to 5 primary texts and 5 headlines. Creatives are stored by aspect ratio, and identity is the Page and the Instagram account. The five formats are Single Image or Video, Carousel, Collection, Catalog and Flexible.

You fill rows by hand, paste values down a column, or apply an ad template that prefills the Page, the copy defaults and the enhancement toggles. Creatives come from your computer, Google Drive or Dropbox, and videos encode in the background. When the rows are ready, Review Ads opens a Review and Launch dialog. On confirm, Adsap creates the ads through the Marketing API and processes each row on its own. A row that succeeds moves from Draft to Launched. A row that fails stays at Draft with the error in its launch_error column, so you fix that row and launch again. Every ad lands paused.

The same sheets are reachable from the AI copilot in Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity. The copilot can list your sheets, read the column schema, fill rows from a description and show a preview of a row before anything is created. Google Search campaigns have their own sheets in the launcher, with columns that follow the campaign type.

Worked example

You have 5 creatives to test against 2 ad sets. That is 10 rows: the same primary text and headline in every row, the creative column changing every row, the ad set column changing every five rows. Paste the copy down the column once, pick the creatives, click Review Ads, confirm. Ten paused ads appear in Ads Manager, named by your convention, and the sheet shows Launched on every row. On the Free plan those ten launches are the month's 10 tasks; on Early Access there is no limit.

Why it matters to a media buyer

Ads Manager creates one ad per pass through its form. A creative test of 10 images against the same copy is 10 passes. A sheet turns the same work into one table you can read top to bottom before anything goes live, which is where the typo in row 7 gets caught. Adsap's own estimate for a launch is roughly 3 hours in Ads Manager against about 10 minutes in a sheet.

In Adsap

The Ad Sheets overview documents the sheet structure and every column. Using Ad Sheets walks through creating a sheet, filling rows, reviewing and launching. The blog post on bulk uploading Facebook ads compares the sheet with Ads Manager's duplication and import features and with the Marketing API.

Frequently asked questions

As many as you add. Adsap processes each Draft row on its own at launch. On the Free plan each launched ad counts as one of the 10 tasks a month; Early Access has no task limit.

No. Each row is created on its own. A failed row stays at Draft with the error in its launch_error column while the other rows move to Launched. Fix the row and launch again.

Yes. From Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity the copilot can list your sheets, read the column schema, fill rows from a description and show a preview of a row before it creates anything.
