Connect Meta Ads to ChatGPT
Adsap connects ChatGPT to Meta Ads through MCP. Turn on Developer mode at chatgpt.com, add Adsap as an app with the address mcp.adsap.ai, and sign in. ChatGPT can then create Meta campaigns, ad sets and ads, pause and edit them, upload creatives and report on Facebook and Instagram results. Any paid plan works, Plus included.
ChatGPT reaches the same Meta tools as Claude, about 90 across both platforms, with one difference in the experience. ChatGPT does not render Adsap's cards, so an ad preview arrives as a link and a campaign list as a table in the reply. ChatGPT adds a confirmation step of its own: before any action that changes a campaign, it summarizes the change and waits for you.
Underneath, Adsap's guardrails are the same on every assistant. Every campaign, ad set and ad is created paused. A preview runs before every write. Adsap checks that you own the ad account on each call and refuses the same write twice within 30 seconds. An audit log records the action. ChatGPT sees none of your Meta tokens.

Set up in 4 steps

Connect Meta in Adsap first: app.adsap.ai, Settings, Connect Meta, approve every permission, pick the ad accounts.

Open chatgpt.com in a desktop browser. Under Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode and accept the warning about third-party servers.

Go to Settings, then Apps, then Create. Name it Adsap, set the MCP Server URL to https://mcp.adsap.ai/mcp, pick OAuth, and Streamable HTTP if asked. Click Scan Tools, sign in to Adsap, click Authorize, then Create.

Enable the Adsap app in a conversation and ask ChatGPT to list your Meta ad accounts.

Limits on ChatGPT
Web only, at chatgpt.com
The ChatGPT desktop and mobile apps cannot add custom connectors. A strange setup error such as no_biscuit_no_service means you are in the desktop app. Close it and set Adsap up in a browser.
Developer mode is required
The switch lives under Settings, then Apps, then Advanced settings, and OpenAI has moved it more than once. On a Business workspace only an admin or owner can turn it on. On Enterprise and Edu an admin grants access first.
No cards, text instead
The ad preview, launch review and manage campaigns cards do not render in ChatGPT. The same tools reply with text and a link where one makes sense. You confirm launches in the chat rather than inside a card.
The skill needs a Business, Enterprise or Edu plan
Plus runs the full connector, writes included. Skills upload on Business, Enterprise and Edu only, and ChatGPT scans a skill before enabling it. Without the skill, describe the safety rules yourself when a task is long.
Frequently asked questions
No. ChatGPT custom connectors are web only. Set Adsap up at chatgpt.com in a desktop browser with Developer mode turned on. Once the app exists in your ChatGPT settings, you use it in any conversation on the web. The Meta account itself is connected in Adsap, not in ChatGPT.
Any paid plan: Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu. Plus is enough for the whole connector, including actions that change your campaigns. What each tool can do follows your Adsap plan: Free has 39 tools and 10 tasks a month, Early Access has every tool with no task limit.
Yes. ChatGPT shows a summary and asks you to confirm before it performs any action that changes your campaigns. Read the summary before you approve. Adsap then runs its own preview on the write, creates everything paused, and records the action in the audit log.
Not yet. ChatGPT accepts uploaded skills on Business, Enterprise and Edu. On those plans, open Plugins, then Skills, then Create, then Upload from your computer. Pick the standard file from app.adsap.ai/ai-copilot. On Plus the connector works without the skill.
Ask for a preview of the ad by name. In Claude the reply is a card with Meta's own render per placement. In ChatGPT the same tool, adsap_get_ad_preview, replies with text and a link to the preview, because ChatGPT does not support the cards today. Every placement is still available.
