Getting StartedSetup Checklist

Setup Checklist

The list to work through once you have an Adsap account, from connecting Meta to your first ad.

Overview

Adsap enforces nothing on this list and nothing expires, so you can spread it over a week.

Two things in the product track progress for you:

  • The account setup wizard runs once per ad account and shows a stepper you can move around freely.
  • The AI Copilot keeps a per-account plan you can tick off in conversation. That is the closest thing to a running checklist.

The Steps

Step 1: Connect your Meta account

Sign in with Facebook Login for Business to give Adsap access to your ad accounts, Pages and Instagram accounts.

  • Guide: Connect Meta. The connection steps and the permissions to grant.

Step 2: Connect an ad account

Pick the Meta ad account or accounts to run in Adsap and sync their data.

Step 3: Bring in your existing creatives

Campaigns and performance history sync on their own once you connect an account, so those need no action. Creatives you pull in yourself, so you can reuse what already ran.

  • Guide: Import from Meta. Bring the account’s image and video library into Adsap.

Step 4: Connect the AI Copilot (optional)

If you use Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity, add the Adsap MCP connector (mcp.adsap.ai) to it. Then list campaigns, create ads, pull insights and audit your account by chat.

Note: Your assistant subscription (Claude works on any plan, including Free; ChatGPT needs a paid plan; Perplexity needs Pro, Max or Enterprise) is separate. Adsap pricing does not include it.

Step 5: Create your first ad

Three ways to build it:

  • Ad Sheets: Build ads in bulk in a spreadsheet-style editor in the web dashboard.
  • Ad Templates: Save the settings you reuse so every new ad starts with them.
  • AI Copilot: Describe the ad to your assistant and it builds the campaign structure.

Important: New ads start paused by default. That is a guardrail, not a limitation. Activate them from the performance dashboard when you are ready. You do not need to open Meta to do it.

Keeping track

Ask the AI Copilot for your onboarding plan. It returns a checklist for the account showing which steps you have finished and which remain. On Claude it renders as a card you tick items off in.

The plan is per ad account, so a second account starts its own.

What Happens After Setup

With setup done, you can:

  • Create ads in Ad Sheets, from Ad Templates, or with the AI Copilot
  • Track campaign performance in the dashboard
  • Ask the AI Copilot for insights, breakdowns and optimization recommendations
  • Manage your Creative Library and pull assets in from Google Drive
  • Import more creatives at any time
  • Move between the Free and Early Access plans, or change billing, under Settings, then Workspaces, then the Billing tab (see Pricing)
