Account Setup Wizard
After you connect an ad account, Adsap walks you through setting it up. It runs once per account, and you can change everything afterwards from Account Defaults.
Every field is optional. You can move through the whole wizard without filling anything in, and nothing breaks. Skipping means you fill those values in by hand on each launch instead.
Before the wizard, on Meta
Tell it about your business
The wizard opens by asking for your website address, under Let’s personalize your setup.
If you give it one, Adsap reads the homepage for signals about your industry, your tracking setup, and how people buy from you. The result is not a report. It reorders the steps, marks what to do first, and leaves notes for your business as you go.
If you would rather not, Skip: use generic setup does exactly that. The same steps, in their standard order.
Who you run ads for
The wizard asks once whether you run ads for your business or for clients. The answer shapes how it presents the rest of the setup. Neither answer is wrong, and neither restricts anything.
The Meta wizard, five steps
You can click between steps freely, and go back.
1. Ad Profiles
The default Facebook Page and Instagram account used when launching ads from this account.
The Instagram account is optional here and everywhere else. Leaving it empty is a valid setup: your Facebook Page then represents the brand on Instagram.
2. Tracking
Your Meta pixel or app for conversion tracking, and which event sources to count.
The step that matters most. If this is wrong, your ads still run, but every conversion number you read afterwards is unreliable.
3. Naming Convention
The default names for campaigns, ad sets and ads, built from tags in the order you choose. Used for reporting and filtering later.
Do this now. Consistent names keep the dashboard readable once you have a few hundred ads, and renaming them later is slow work. See Naming conventions.
4. Launch Settings
The default ad status, PAUSED or ACTIVE, and whether to opt in to multi-advertiser ads.
Leave it on PAUSED unless you have a reason. Paused lets you check a bulk launch before it spends rather than after.
5. Creative Enhancements
Which Advantage+ creative enhancements apply by default to single-image, video, carousel, collection and catalog ads.
All off unless you switch them on. Enhancement control is an Early Access feature; the Free plan locks this step. See Enhancements for what each one does and which ones carry risk.
The Google Ads wizard, three steps
Google needs different things, so it gets its own shorter wizard.
1. Conversion goals
Checks that conversion tracking is ready for conversion-based bidding.
This is a check, not a setting. Conversion-based bidding without working conversion tracking is the most expensive mistake on Google Ads. The bidding has nothing to optimize toward and spends anyway.
2. Campaign defaults
Daily budget, bidding, locations and languages for new campaigns.
These prefill the campaign wizards. They never overwrite something you have already typed, and a template beats them.
3. Naming convention
How your Google ads get auto-named.
Asset automation is not in this wizard on purpose. It lives on Enhancements next to its Meta counterpart.
Finishing
Finishing marks the account as set up. That matters beyond the tick: workspace members cannot see an account until the owner finishes setting it up. See Workspaces and Teams.
You then land on a short screen with three next moves: launch your first ad, upload creatives, or look at performance.
Changing any of it later
Nothing here is permanent.
- Steps 1 to 4 on Meta, and all three Google steps: Account Defaults, then Launch Settings.
- Creative enhancements, both platforms: Account Defaults, then Enhancements.
Changes apply to new work. They do not reach back into campaigns you have already built.
