Shopping Campaigns
Product ads on Google Search and the Shopping tab, built from your Merchant Center feed. Titles, images, prices, and landing pages come from the feed, so the wizard has nothing to design.
Plans: Shopping campaigns are an Early Access feature. See Pricing.
Prerequisites
The Google Ads account needs an active Merchant Center link with synced products. A fresh link can take a few hours before products (and feed labels) show up.
Creating a Shopping campaign
- Choose Shopping in the launcher.
- Feed: pick a feed label, or “All feeds”. If no labels show yet, “All feeds” works anyway.
- Bidding: Manual CPC gives you a max cost-per-click on the “All products” group, the classic reason to pick standard Shopping over Performance Max. Maximize Clicks works without conversion tracking. Target ROAS needs conversion history (roughly 15 conversions in 30 days), and Adsap warns you before Google rejects it.
- Priority & targeting: campaign priority (low/medium/high) plus location targeting. Shopping campaigns have no language targeting: the ad language follows your product feed.
- Validate: checks the campaign against Google without creating it, and reports exactly what Google objects to.
- Review & create: created paused, activate from the dashboard.
Good to know
- Running Performance Max on the same products? PMax and standard Shopping compete on Ad Rank. Shopping priority only orders Shopping campaigns among themselves.
