Launch Settings
Account Defaults, then Launch Settings holds the values every new piece of work starts with, for the ad account currently selected. The page differs by platform, because the two platforms need different things.
Changes apply to new work only. See the precedence rule.
On a Meta account
Four sections, saved together with the button at the bottom.
Ad Profiles
The Facebook Page and Instagram account your ads run under. Set them here and every new ad starts with them, rather than you picking them each time.
The Instagram account is optional everywhere in Adsap. Leave it empty and your Facebook Page represents the brand on Instagram, the same as the “Use Facebook Page” option in Ads Manager. Adsap sets this up with Meta the first time you launch. If you do pick an Instagram account, it must belong to the same business and have authorization on the ad account, or Meta rejects the ad.
Tracking
Where your ads report results to.
- Pixel for a website, or App for an app.
- Which kinds of event to count: website events, app events, offline events, CRM events, post engagements, page engagements.
- Default UTM parameters appended to your destination links, so campaigns arrive tagged in your analytics without you typing them each time.
Getting this right matters more than the rest of the page. If the pixel is wrong or missing, your ads still run but nothing you see afterwards about conversions is trustworthy.
Naming Convention
The pattern Adsap uses to name new campaigns, ad sets and ads, built from tags you put in order rather than typed out. See Naming conventions for the tag list.
Do this early. Renaming a hundred ads afterwards is a job nobody wants, and consistent names are what make the performance dashboard readable at the ad level.
Launch Defaults
- Multi-Advertiser Ads. Allow Meta to show your ad alongside ads from other businesses. On by default; switch it off here if you do not want that.
- Default Ad Launch Status. Whether new ads start Paused, meaning they do not run until you switch them on, or Active, meaning they run immediately.
Leave the default status on Paused unless you have a specific reason. That is the difference between reviewing a bulk launch of forty ads before it spends and finding a typo after it has.
On a Google Ads account
Four cards. They prefill the campaign wizards, on fresh forms only, never over values you have already typed. A template beats them.
Budget and Bidding
The daily budget and bidding strategy new campaigns start with.
Default Locations
Prefills the location targeting of new campaigns.
Default Languages
Prefills the language targeting of new campaigns. Leave it empty to keep the wizards’ own default, which is English.
Ad Naming Convention
How Google ads get auto-named by the bulk tools.
Switching accounts
The page always edits the account selected in the top bar. If you manage more than one account, check the selector before you save. Nothing copies between accounts, so you fill in each one on its own.
