Demand Gen
Google’s social-style campaigns: image and video ads on YouTube, Discover, Gmail, Maps and, if you switch the channel on, the Google Display Network, with per-surface channel controls.
Plans: Demand Gen campaigns are an Early Access feature. See Pricing.
Creating a Demand Gen campaign
- Choose Demand Gen in the launcher.
- Campaign & bidding: name, daily budget (Google enforces a minimum daily budget for Demand Gen; the wizard shows it), and bidding. Adsap defaults to Maximize Conversions when conversion tracking exists, otherwise Maximize Clicks, and explains the pick.
- Ad: Adsap builds image ads from your uploaded images and a logo (you need a logo), and video ads from YouTube videos you own. Headlines, descriptions, and the final URL complete the ad.
- Targeting: Demand Gen sets locations and languages per ad group. Manage audience attachments beyond that in Google Ads or through the AI Copilot.
- Validate: checks the campaign against Google without creating it, and reports exactly what Google objects to.
- Review & create: created paused, activate from the dashboard.
Good to know
- Demand Gen image ads need both the creative images and a square logo (1:1, at least 128x128).
- Google is gradually folding classic Display campaigns into Demand Gen. Pick Display only when you want the classic setup or its bid control.
