Meta Ad Specs and Limits

The technical limits that apply to Meta ad campaigns you create through Adsap.

Campaign Limits

LimitValue
Max ads per ad set (Meta hard limit)50
Max ad sets per ad account5,000
Max campaigns per ad account5,000
Max ads per ad account5,000
Max ad sets per campaign using Advantage+ campaign budget200
Ad name character limit400

Meta’s hard limit of 50 ads per ad set applies, including when launching into existing campaigns. Adsap adds no limit of its own.

Budget Minimums

Meta calculates a minimum per ad set and warns in Ads Manager when a budget is too low. Meta publishes no fixed figure: minimums vary by country, objective, bid strategy and currency.

Results define the learning phase, not a per-ad dollar amount. Most ad sets leave it after about 50 results in the week after their last significant edit.

Special Ad Category Restrictions

Housing, Employment, and Financial products and services (Meta’s replacement for the old Credit category) restrict:

  • Age fixed to 18 to 65+
  • All genders only
  • Cities and ZIPs need at least a 15 mile (25 km) radius
  • No lookalike audiences, no detailed-targeting exclusions

Social issues, elections or politics and Online gambling and gaming do NOT carry these restrictions. Every category requires the campaign’s country list, and ad sets must target inside it. Online gambling and gaming also needs Meta’s gambling authorization on the ad account.

Advantage Audience Constraints

With Advantage Audience on, Meta fixes age_max at 65 (meaning 65+) and limits age_min to 18 to 25. These are suggestions to Meta’s algorithm, not hard limits. Meta may deliver outside this range.

Adsap sends the age values you enter unchanged.

DSA / Ad Transparency

Meta requires beneficiary and payer information on ad sets that target the EU or associated territories (and on worldwide targeting). Adsap pulls defaults from your Meta Ads Manager settings.

If you have not set them yet, configure them in Meta Ads Manager > Advertising Settings > Verifications and ad transparency. Missing beneficiary/payer information can make ad set creation fail.
