Enhancements

Account Defaults, then Enhancements decides what the platform may change about your ads after you hand them over. Meta calls these Advantage+ creative enhancements. Google calls its version asset automation.

Every enhancement is off by default. Adsap switches nothing on for you.

Plans: enhancement control is an Early Access feature. On the Free plan the toggles on this page stay locked. See Pricing.

You set them per ad account and per ad format, because what makes sense on a single image does not make sense on a catalog ad.

On a Meta account

Six groups, one per format. A toggle only applies to ads of that format, so switching on Visual touch-ups for single images does not touch your carousels.

Single image

Add business AI, Brightness and contrast, Enhance CTA, Relevant comments, Music, Optimize website destination, Flex media, Enhance media text, Reveal details, Show spotlights, Show summaries, Add site links, Add overlays, Text improvements, Visual touch-ups, Translate text, Image animation.

Single video

Add business AI, Enhance CTA, Relevant comments, Optimize website destination, Flex media, Reveal details, Show spotlights, Show summaries, Add site links, Add video effects, Text improvements, Visual touch-ups, Translate text, Video uncrop.

Video uncrop expands your video to fit the aspect ratio of more placements. Useful when you have one aspect ratio and want the ad eligible everywhere.

Add business AI, Dynamic description, Enhance CTA, Expand image, Highlight carousel card, Relevant comments, Profile end card, Add site links, Visual touch-ups.

Collection

Adapt to placements, Add business AI, Dynamic description, Enhance CTA, Generate backgrounds, Hide price, Relevant comments.

Catalog

Adapt to placement, Add dynamic overlays, Add product tags, Add business AI, Dynamic description, Enhance CTA, Hide price, Generate backgrounds, Expand image, Relevant comments, Dynamic media, Add standard labels.

Flexible

One switch, Advantage+ Creative, which turns on Meta’s creative optimizations across your mixed assets rather than exposing them one by one.

On a Google Ads account

Two cards.

Campaign Asset Automation

Applies to Performance Max and Search campaigns. On means Google’s own default behavior, which is to generate and enhance text assets for you. Off creates the campaign explicitly opted out.

Display Ads

Applies to responsive display ads from the Display wizard.

Which ones to switch on

No answer fits everyone, but two rules hold up:

Enhancements that change wording carry more risk than ones that change pixels. Brightness and contrast or visual touch-ups adjust an image. Text improvements, dynamic description and enhance CTA rewrite what your ad says. If you are in a regulated category, or someone approved your wording, leave the text ones off.

Translate text is not the same as localizing. It makes your ad readable in another language. It does not make it good in that language.

If you are unsure, switch on a few, launch, and check the ad preview to see what changed.

What you do not need to set

Meta has master switches that turn a whole family of enhancements on. You never set these, and you will not find them on the page. Adsap works them out from the individual toggles you did set. Setting them by hand is the most common way to opt an ad out of everything by accident.

Templates win

If a row has an ad template, the template’s enhancement settings replace these. That is the point of a template. See Ad Templates.

These account settings are the starting point for new work that does not have a template. See the precedence rule.
