Get upload status (`adsap_get_upload_status`)

What it does

Checks on a video upload that is still processing. It returns the processing state and, once done, the id of the new creative asset. Use it after a video upload before you build an ad from that video.

When to use it

Use it after adsap_upload_creative starts a video upload. Pass the job_id from that response.
status is one of pending, processing, encoding, ready or failed. Wait for ready before you build an ad from the video.
The asset details appear only once status is ready: creative_asset_id, name, type, format, duration_seconds, file_size_mb and thumbnail_url.
A failed upload comes back as an error with the code UPLOAD_ERROR and Meta’s message, not as a normal result.
It only finds upload jobs you started in the current workspace. Any other job_id returns NOT_FOUND.

How to read it

status is ready, so Meta has finished encoding and the video can go into an ad. creative_asset_id is the Meta video ID. name is the name you gave at upload, or the source filename. format, duration_seconds and thumbnail_url are null when the job holds no value for them.

While Meta is still working, the payload carries status, progress_percent, message and estimated_remaining_seconds. Ask again after about 30 seconds. Once the video is ready, the assistant can create the ad with adsap_create_ad.
