Performance Dashboard
Performance, then Dashboard is the main reporting screen. It covers the selected ad account, on either platform, and it doubles as the place you fix things: names, statuses, budgets, bids and ad copy are all editable in place.
The dashboard never shows today
Every range ends at yesterday, in the ad account’s own timezone. No Today option exists, and this is not a delay in the data.
Conversions take a day or two to attribute. A partial today makes every cost and return look worse than it really is, and puts a cliff at the end of every trend line that is not real. Excluding it keeps the numbers comparable with each other.
If you need to know what happened in the last hour, ask the ad platform’s own interface.
Date ranges
Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 30 days, This month, or Custom with your own from and to dates.
Adsap compares every figure against the previous period of the same length. Where no prior period exists you get No prior data rather than an invented percentage.
Drilling down
Click a row to go into it. Breadcrumbs at the top take you back.
| Level | Meta | Google Ads |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Campaigns | Campaigns |
| 2 | Ad sets | Ad groups |
| 3 | Ads | Keywords |
The third level differs because the platforms differ. On Meta the creative decides the outcome, so you drill to the ad. On Google Search the query decides it, so you drill to the keyword. See Meta vs Google Ads.
Search terms, Google only
A Search terms button opens the real queries people typed to trigger your ads, over the last 7, 14 or 30 days. It shows impressions, clicks, conversions and conversion value, and whether each query already matches a keyword. The Search terms view is an Early Access feature; see Pricing.
This is the highest-value screen on the Google side. Here you find both the money going to queries you never wanted and the queries worth promoting to keywords. The recommendations mine the same data on their own.
Meta has no counterpart, because nobody types anything.
What is on screen
- KPI cards across the top, each with its change against the previous period.
- A chart with one metric as bars and one as a line.
- A table at the current level, sortable by any column, searchable by name.
Which metrics appear in each is up to you, in Dashboard Settings. The full catalog is in the Metrics Reference.
Refreshing
Meta and Google refresh separately, with their own buttons, because they are separate connections that can fail independently.
If a connection has broken, a banner appears with a Reconnect link straight to Settings. Act on that banner first: a broken connection means the numbers below it have stopped updating, and stale data looks exactly like a quiet week.
Editing without leaving
Edit name and status
On any row: change the name, and set the status to No change, Activate or Pause. For campaigns and ad sets you can also change the budget, daily or lifetime, the bidding strategy, the max CPC bid on Google, asset automation, and an end time.
Adsap shows a preview of exactly what will change before you apply it.
Edit ad
On an ad row, a fuller editor in four tabs:
- Settings: name and status.
- Text: primary text, headline, description.
- Media: replace the image or video.
- Destination: call to action button, destination URL, display link, URL parameters.
Again previewed before applying.
Editing an ad’s creative rebuilds it on the platform, so it goes back through review. Expect a short period where the ad is not delivering while that happens.
Live preview
Live preview on any ad row shows the platform’s own render of it, including playable video. Look before and after any creative edit. That is the only way to be certain that what you changed is what you meant.
Nothing delivering
If an account or a level has no delivery in the selected range, you get a plain statement of that rather than a screen of zeroes. Check the range first, then whether anything is on at all, then the alerts. They check for exactly this and have most likely already told you why.
Through the AI Copilot
Ask for performance and you get the same numbers, and on Claude a card with the KPI row, trend chart and ranked table together. The assistant always states the date range it used, and flags data that has not refreshed recently.
That is the faster route for questions spanning both platforms at once, which the dashboard cannot show in a single view.
