Google Ads Integration

Adsap is an MCP server for Google Ads as well as a web app. Connect a Google Ads account once. You can then create Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Shopping, App and Display campaigns, manage keywords and extensions, and read performance. Work from the dashboard at app.adsap.ai or by chat in Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity. Meta Ads works the same way from the same Adsap account. This page covers connecting, what you can do, and troubleshooting.

Connecting Google Ads

Step 1: Open Integrations Open Settings from the sidebar. The Integrations section is on that page.

Step 2: Click Connect Google Ads Click Connect on the Google Ads card to start Google sign-in. Google opens and asks you to approve Adsap.

Step 3: Grant the Google Ads permission Google shows a consent screen with a checkbox for Google Ads access.

Warning: Leave the Google Ads checkbox ticked. Google lets you untick individual permissions, but Adsap cannot manage your campaigns without this one. If you untick it, Adsap rejects the connection and you have to reconnect.

Adsap asks for the Google Ads permission only. No Gmail, no Drive (that is a separate, optional integration for creative uploads), nothing else on your Google account. Adsap never sees your password, and you can disconnect at any time.

Step 4: Pick your ad account After connecting, Adsap syncs the Google Ads accounts your Google login can access. Select the account you want to work in from the account picker.

On the Free plan, one Google Ads account is active at a time, plus one Meta ad account. Adsap parks the others; swap the active one from the Integrations card in Settings. Early Access has no account limit. See Pricing.

What You Can Do

Once connected, use the platform switcher in the dashboard to move between Meta and Google:

  • Create campaigns: guided wizards for Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, Display, Shopping, and App campaigns, each with a preview before Adsap creates anything
  • Manage ad groups and keywords: create ad groups, add keywords and negatives, adjust CPC bids and bidding strategies
  • Ad extensions: sitelinks, callouts, structured snippets, calls, promotions, and price assets
  • Creative assets: upload images and videos (including YouTube uploads) and browse your account’s asset library
  • Performance dashboard: campaign, ad group, and keyword level metrics, plus a search terms view for finding negative-keyword candidates
  • AI copilot: the same Google Ads tools by chat, through the Adsap connector in Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity

Step-by-step walkthroughs for every campaign type live in the Google Ads guides.

Plans: the Free plan covers Search campaigns, ad groups, keywords, keyword ideas, status and budget edits. Performance Max, Demand Gen, Shopping, App and Display, plus extensions and advanced targeting, are Early Access. See Pricing.

New campaigns and ad groups under an active parent default to Paused, so nothing spends until you enable them.

Data Sync

Adsap syncs your account list, campaigns and performance metrics from Google Ads and caches them. Data refreshes as you use the dashboard.

Tip: If you changed something in the Google Ads interface (paused a campaign, edited a budget), it appears in Adsap on the next refresh.

Disconnecting Google Ads

Click Disconnect on the Google Ads card in Settings > Integrations. This revokes Adsap’s access with Google and removes the stored connection. Data already synced to Adsap stays.

Troubleshooting

”Connection rejected” right after signing in

You most likely unticked the Google Ads checkbox on Google’s consent screen. Reconnect and leave it ticked.

Ad Account Not Appearing

If an account does not show up after connecting:

  • Check that the Google account you signed in with can access it at ads.google.com
  • Manager (MCC) accounts appear in the list, but campaign work happens in regular (client) accounts
  • Disconnect and reconnect to refresh the account list

Connection Stopped Working

If Google Ads features stop responding, Adsap may have lost its access (for example after a change in your Google account’s security settings). Go to Settings > Integrations and reconnect.
