List Meta assets (adsap_list_meta_assets)

Platform: Meta · Read or write: Read · Plan: All plans · Consumes a task: No · Preview supported: No

What it does

Lists the Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts, pixels or instant forms available for ad creation. Partner pages and partner Instagram accounts are separate asset types. Results come from Adsap’s asset cache and sync from Meta when the cache is empty for that account.

When to use it

  • Use it before creating an ad, to get the ID of a Facebook Page, Instagram account, pixel or instant form.
  • asset_type is required, and one call lists one type. The six values are listed under Parameters.
  • It reads Adsap’s asset cache. When the cache is empty for the ad_account_id you pass, it syncs live from Meta and reads again.
  • Instant forms belong to a Facebook Page. With an ad_account_id, list facebook_pages for that account first, so its pages are known.
  • It lists pixels by name and ID only. For how a pixel is set up, use adsap_get_pixel_details.

Worked example

You ask

“Which Facebook Pages can I run ads from on act_1234567890?”

The assistant calls adsap_list_meta_assets

{ "asset_type": "facebook_pages", "ad_account_id": "act_1234567890" }

Adsap returns

The field names are the ones Adsap returns. The values are examples.

{ "ok": true, "data": [ { "id": "120210000000040", "name": "Example Store", "asset_type": "facebook_pages", "ad_account_id": "act_1234567890", "ownership": "OWNED", "category": null, "followers_count": null, "linked_instagram_id": "120210000000041", "linked_instagram_username": "examplestore", "picture_url": null, "last_synced_at": "2026-03-02T08:15:00+00:00" } ], "meta": { "last_refreshed_at": "2026-03-02T08:15:00+00:00", "next_cursor": null, "total_count": 1, "ad_account_id": "act_1234567890", "refresh_note": null } }

How to read it

id is the Page ID. adsap_create_ad takes it as page_id inside creative_spec. linked_instagram_id is the Instagram account connected to the Page, if there is one. ownership is OWNED, or PARTNER for the two partner asset types. category and followers_count are not filled in.

Every asset type returns id, name, asset_type, ad_account_id and last_synced_at. The other fields change with the type. An instant form, for example, carries page_id, status and leads_count. refresh_note is null on a normal cache read. It holds a short message when a live sync ran or failed.
