Show Ad Library ad (`adsap_get_ad_library_snapshot`)

What it does

Shows what Ad Library ads look like. Give it up to 8 ad IDs from an Ad Library search and one call returns every creative with its copy. In assistants that support interactive cards, two or more ads appear as a gallery: click an ad to enlarge it. Video ads play in the card and carousel ads show their slides.

When to use it

Use it after adsap_search_ad_library, which returns text and links but no picture.
ad_ids takes 1 to 8 IDs, in the order you want them shown. Two or more appear as a gallery. One appears at full size.
One call takes about 8 seconds for a full gallery. The assistant sends all the IDs in one call, not one call per ad.
For more than 8 ads, ask for the next ones after the first gallery.
The tool cannot show an ad that stopped running. That ad gets a tile saying so, and the other ads still appear.

How to read it

This tool returns content parts, not one data object. The image parts come first, one per creative, in the order of the ads. data holds each image as base64 text, shortened here. The last part is text that holds the details of each ad: its Page name, its copy in body_text, and its video and carousel flags.

images_returned says how many of the images belong to each ad. Most ads have 1. A carousel has more, and its slides come one after the other. media_count is the number of slides the ad has, which can be higher than the number returned. In assistants that show interactive cards, the card assembles this for you.

Two or more render as a gallery. For more than 8 ads, show the first 8 and call again for the next ones when the user asks.
`ad_id`	string	No	A single Ad Library ad id. Same as ad_ids with one entry; prefer ad_ids.

Notes

The pictures are the advertiser’s own image files. For a video ad the picture is its first frame, and the video plays when you open the ad in the card. - A carousel shown alone returns up to 6 slides. In a gallery the slides share a limit of 12 images across all the ads. - In a gallery, the tool shortens long copy to about 700 characters and sets body_truncated to true. Ask for that ad alone to read the full copy. - It shows ads exactly as Meta’s Ad Library does, so it works only for ads the search can return.
