Dashboard Settings

Performance, then Dashboard Settings decides what the performance dashboard shows you. The defaults are reasonable and generic. Ten minutes here makes the dashboard about your business instead.

Plans: Dashboard Settings is an Early Access feature. See Pricing.

Settings are per platform. You configure your Meta layout and your Google Ads layout separately, because the useful metrics are not the same.

KPI Card Metrics

The row of big numbers across the top. Pick which metrics fill the slots and in what order. Empty slots show as placeholders so you can see how many you have left.

Put the number you would check first in the first slot. For most e-commerce accounts that is ROAS or cost per purchase, not spend. Spend tells you what happened; cost per purchase tells you whether it paid off.

Each card also shows its change against the previous period of the same length.

Table Columns

The columns in the table underneath. This is where you can afford to be generous, because a table scrolls and a KPI row does not.

Some columns only exist at certain levels. Meta’s quality, engagement rate and conversion rate rankings exist only on ads, so the picker offers them when you are looking at ads and not at campaigns. Results and Cost per result depend on level in the same way.

Chart Configuration

The chart takes two metrics: one drawn as bars, one drawn as a line.

The pairing is the point. Bars for volume and a line for efficiency is the combination that shows you something, for example spend as bars with cost per purchase as the line. Two volume metrics together tell you little you could not read off the table.

Picking metrics

The full catalog is in the Metrics Reference, grouped exactly as it appears in the picker here. If you have custom conversions on your Meta pixel, they appear as their own section, named as you named them.

A practical starting point

For an e-commerce account:

  • KPI cards: Spend, Purchases, Cost / Purchase, ROAS.
  • Chart: Spend as bars, Cost / Purchase as the line.
  • Table: Spend, Impressions, Link Clicks, Link CTR, Purchases, Cost / Purchase, ROAS. Add Hook Rate and Hold Rate at ad level if you run video.

For lead generation, swap Purchases and Cost / Purchase for Leads and Cost / Lead, and drop ROAS unless you send a value back with your leads.
